Justin H. Brown is a career civil servant with 12 years of federal and state government service. He has held several positions within the oversight community and has worked with the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) Office of Inspector General (OIG) since 2009. Mr. Brown joined USAID OIG as an analyst in the Immediate Office and served in an advisory capacity from 2011 to 2013. He currently serves as Chief of Staff and the head of Legislative and Public Affairs for the OIG.

Prior to joining USAID OIG, Mr. Brown was as a Senior Inspector for the Department of Homeland Security OIG where he worked for 6 years. Before becoming a member of the civil service in 2003, Mr. Brown worked for the Texas Criminal Justice Policy Council and the Texas Department of Transportation’s Office of International Affairs.

Mr. Brown has a bachelor of arts in history from Swarthmore College and a master’s in Latin American studies from the University of Texas at Austin.
