FY 2021 Comprehensive Oversight Plan - In Brief
The 6th annual comprehensive oversight plan is a whole-of-government effort involving 11 federal agencies with oversight responsibility for different aspects of overseas contingency operations. Operation Inherent Resolve (OIR) in Iraq and Syria and Operation Freedom’s Sentinel (OFS) in Afghanistan will continue into FY 2021. Operation Pacific Eagle-Philippines and three other operations in Africa and the Middle East concluded for Lead IG purposes at the end of FY 2020. This comprehensive oversight plan contains 240 ongoing and planned oversight projects for FY 2021, some of which apply to multiple overseas contingency operations.
