Investigations

The Office of Investigations (IG/I) conducts worldwide investigations into allegations of criminal, civil, and administrative violations affecting U.S. taxpayer-funded foreign assistance programming. Our priority is to investigate allegations of major fraud, corruption, diversion to terrorist organizations, trafficking, sexual exploitation and abuse, and other criminal or serious noncriminal misconduct.

IG/I’s role includes identifying, investigating, and working to prosecute cases of embezzlement, bribery, kickbacks, false claims, bid rigging and other instances of corruption and alleged criminal conduct. We focus on critical and sensitive issues of U.S. foreign policy and national security interest.
