INVESTIGATIVE SUMMARY: OIG Investigation Finds No Evidence That a USAID Employee Violated the Terms of a U.S. Visa or Had Unpaid Medical Bills

USAID’s Office of Inspector General (OIG) initiated an investigation into allegations that a USAID Foreign Service National employee violated the terms of a U.S. visa and failed to pay medical bills incurred during a visit to the United States.

Through an investigation, OIG did not find evidence the employee violated the conditions of the employee’s U.S. visa. In addition, while the employee did incur medical bills, OIG did not find evidence of any related outstanding financial obligations.

OIG provided a copy of the investigative report to USAID and the cognizant U.S. Department of State Regional Security Office for review.
