INVESTIGATIVE SUMMARY: OIG Found No Evidence of False Statements or Unauthorized Employment in USAID Employee’s Pandemic Loan Application

Investigative Summary

USAID’s Office of Inspector General (OIG) investigated a USAID employee who applied for an Economic Injury Disaster Loan (EIDL) from the Small Business Administration while serving as a full-time USAID employee. The investigation also examined allegations the individual did not report their dual employment during their tenure at USAID. 

OIG’s investigation did not find evidence that the employee submitted false or misleading information in the EIDL application or engaged in unreported dual employment while working at the Agency.
