The Office of Audits, Inspections, and Evaluations focuses on strengthening the ability of USAID, ADF, IAF, and MCC to manage and deliver foreign assistance by:

Promoting effectiveness and efficiency of foreign assistance through audits of program effectiveness, economy and efficiency, internal control, and compliance, as well as through related reviews and evaluations.

Promoting integrity and improving agencies’ financial management systems and procedures through financial, internal control, and compliance audits.

Addressing congressional and agency priorities and statutory requirements and keeping Congress, the public, and other interested parties informed about the agencies’ operations.

Identifying and reporting fraud, waste, abuse, and mismanagement in foreign assistance program.
