PROJECT ANNOUNCEMENT: Audit of USAID’s Reduction in Force of U.S. Direct Hires

The USAID Office of Inspector General is initiating an audit of USAID’s 2025 reduction in force of U.S. direct hires in the Civil Service and Foreign Service. The findings and recommendations could inform any future reductions in force. This audit compliments our ongoing evaluation of USAID’s global employment terminations of locally employed staff. 

The audit objective is to determine whether USAID executed a reduction in force of U.S. direct hires in 2025 in accordance with applicable Federal requirements and internal policies
