Investigations
The Office of Investigations (IG/I) conducts worldwide investigations into allegations of criminal, civil, and administrative violations relating to the United States Agency for International Development, Millennium Challenge Corporation, United States African Development Foundation, and the Inter-American Foundation. Our priority is to investigate allegations of major fraud, corruption, sexual exploitation and abuse, and other criminal or serious noncriminal misconduct within the programs, personnel, and operations of these agencies, their contractors, grantees, and foreign counterparts.
IG/I’s role includes identifying, investigating, and working to prosecute cases of embezzlement, bribery, kickbacks, false claims, bid rigging and other instances of corruption and alleged criminal conduct. We focus on critical and sensitive issues of U.S. foreign policy and national security interest.
