PROJECT ANNOUNCEMENT: Audit of the Millennium Challenge Corporation’s Program Closeout Practices

The USAID Office of Inspector General (OIG) is initiating an audit of the Millennium Challenge Corporation’s (MCC) compact and threshold program closeout practices. The purpose of this audit is to evaluate MCC’s oversight and monitoring of closeout practices carried out by Accountable Entities in accordance with agreed upon processes.

PROJECT ANNOUNCEMENT: Evaluation of the Millennium Challenge Corporation’s Use of Government Funds for Promotional Items and 20th Anniversary Activities

The USAID Office of Inspector General (OIG) is initiating an evaluation of the Millennium Challenge Corporation’s (MCC) use of government funds for promotional items and anniversary activities.

The objectives of this evaluation are to determine whether MCC adhered to applicable federal requirements and internal policies and procedures when (1) buying promotional items for employees and (2) holding events to celebrate MCC’s 20th anniversary.

PROJECT ANNOUNCEMENT: Audits of the Disposition of Assets for Terminated USAID Awards

Assets still in-country without active U.S. control are at risk of looting, terrorism, or being seized by other parties, making it crucial to address their status and management promptly. To understand the status of these assets and help inform the agency’s decisions about next steps, the Office of Inspector General is initiating work examining the disposition of assets for recently terminated USAID awards. We intend to perform concurrent audits from our overseas offices covering U.S.
